CoVeris was established in 2010 and is headquartered in Waynesville, NC, just a few miles southwest of Asheville. Our offices are nestled in the beautiful Great Smoky Mountains of western North Carolina.
We are often asked: “what does the name ‘CoVeris’ mean?” As service provider in the clinical research field, it is essential that our name reflect our core values of collaboration and partnership (the “Co” in CoVeris), and accuracy (from the Latin “veritas” for truth) in everything that we do. Thus, CoVeris was born!
In response to the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, CoVeris quickly adapted and continued to provide uninterrupted Services.

Alex Coímbre
President
Alex Coímbre is ACRP-certified (CCRA) and has over 30 years of combined pre-clinical (Microbiology) and clinical research experience. He is fully bilingual (English/Spanish). During his clinical research career, Mr. Coímbre has been a CRA and Project Manager. Currently, Mr. Coímbre serves as President of CoVeris, Inc., and continues to deliver CRA and PM services to CoVeris’ clients.
Kelly McCarter
Vice President
Kelly McCarter is ACRP-certified (CCRA) and has over 25 years of combined direct patient care and clinical research experience. He is a licensed professional counselor (State of TN). Currently, Mr. McCarter serves as Vice-president of CoVeris, Inc., and delivers CRA services to CoVeris’ clients.
CoVeris has a select North America-based network of highly experienced clinical research professionals who provide Administrative, Quality Assurance, Project Management and CRA services.
